In 1987, the two Rotary Clubs in Livermore jointly established
the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore, focused on youth, service, and
creating opportunities in the Tri Valley where we work and live.
The goal of the Foundation is to create opportunities
for Livermore organizations that enrich our lives and build our community.
With a focus on youth, we support projects which have the greatest impact
per dollar spent by helping start up exciting new programs, supporting
proven good ideas, and developing strong institutions and community
resources. We are building the future here today.
Since its establishment as a tax exempt qualified charitable fund in
1987, the Foundation corpus has reachd its target of $1,000,000, which
will allow us to support major projects in Livermore over many years.
Thanks to continuous Rotarian contributions, major fund-raisers, like
the Auction d’Elegance and Golf Tournament, corporate sponsorship, bequests,
and professionally managed investment, we will be able to increase our
grant awards to organizations serving our community.
